Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner.

About the Position:

The Senior HR Business Partner helps to drive the vision of our People and Culture team through performing a variety of human resources functions related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and organizational strategy initiatives such as, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, leave administration, change management, employee engagement, total rewards, dispute resolution, and recruitment support. On a daily basis, this position provides advice, counsel and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on human resources matters and processes to ensure compliance with rules, policies and procedures. 

The new hire is expected to reside in Colorado upon starting - this is not a remote position.

About You:

You have excellent organizational and prioritization skills, particularly with managing competing and changing priorities. You can execute HR strategies, initiatives and practices that help to support organizational change and promote engagement. You possess extensive expertise in Google and Microsoft programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint. You are highly skilled in managing HR processes that adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, such as FMLA, FAMLI, and ADA. You have advanced-level experience in planning, developing and delivering fundamental training to different employee levels within an organization. You’re a strong written and verbal communicator with a talent for presenting complex information in a digestible way. You’re able to work independently when needed and manage large projects and initiatives from beginning to end. You have a proven track record of collaborating with employees at all levels of an organization and able to coach, counsel and influence others while delivering decisions. You have both experience and a passion for supporting an organization committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. You’re resilient, emotionally intelligent, curious and courageous.  

Minimum Qualifications:

At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in human resources, including:

  • Knowledge and experience to provide expert guidance of human resources functions such as performance management, employee relations, compensation and classification, learning and development, and benefits.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of federal and state employment laws, regulations, principles and practices. Ability to communicate and enforce company policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in managing processes associated with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FAMLI, Workers Compensation and return to work programs for employees.
  • Extensive experience in project planning and implementation with a strong ability to oversee projects from conception through to successful execution.
  • Experience with collaborating with partners in the different disciplines of human resources to recommend and inform business solutions.
  • Experience with gathering, analyzing and utilizing data-driven insights to inform recommendations and influence decision making processes. 
  • Experience with designing and implementing training programs for employees. Work closely with the People and Culture team to drive talent management initiatives, playing a key role in designing and implementing strategic programs that elevate employee skills.
  • Experience with supporting people programs that promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging within the organization as well as boost employee engagement, retention and foster a positive culture.
  • Experience with coaching and counseling employees at all levels as well as providing and receiving feedback. As needed, conducting internal investigations and developing action plans.

Education Equivalency:

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development may replace some of the required years of experience.

Hiring Range: Grade 18, $64,200 - $85,500 

Structure Title: Sr Analyst, Human Resources

Starting Pay: based on education and experience.
